Panama City, a rich and modern city

May 5th, 2009

We know that Panama is a country of Central America and is that country which is located in the famous Panama Canal. And adding to the idea that we have in Central America, a poor and backward place, it is common to say that Panama is a country operated by the U.S., which control the channel, right?

If you answered that yes, you better revise their concepts. Yes, it is true that Central America is generally a poor place and that the U.S. controlled the canal, but Panama is far from being a poor country.

Sample that is the beauty and opulence of its capital, Panama City, a city with the skyscrapers impressive, large and efficient avenues and beautiful wooded areas. The ancient city, founded in 1519, now has 1.2 million inhabitants and was registered as World Heritage by UNESCO, the beauty of its colonial architecture.

In addition, Panama is a country near the equator, with tropical forests and beautiful variety of flora and fauna, all this combined with a good infrastructure and excellent hotels and services for tourists. For all that, it is worth the visit.

Costa Rica: country of the national parks

June 20th, 2008

A destination for adventurers… That’s what Costa Rica represents in Central America. A very pacific country (there are no armed forces), most of its area is protected by the implemantation of national parks.

Get in contact with endangered and exotic species in a land where the contact with nature is the rule. And all of this can be done by staying in a luxurious hotel or a charming inn in the countryside.
